Since 1986 the Feddema family has owned and operated Round the Bend Farm. Wanting to provide children with an educational agricultural experience, our school tour program was created in 2003. In 2023, after seeing a need for a farm-based, educational, but fun summer camp experiences, Round the Bend Farm Camp was created! Directed by the Feddema families youngest daughter, Round the Bend Farm Camp offers a summer camp experience like no other! With activites including interacting and caring for farm animals, harvesting and learning to plant and care for various fruits and vegetables, nature crafts and traditional camp activities including gaga ball, water play, and a wagon ride! Our farm is a place where kids can unplug, get dirty, and grow in every way!
In our farm-based summer camp we value mindfulness and intentionally engaging with nature around us. Our programming consists of farm animal care, field and forest exploration, planting and harvesting, nature crafts, and water fun!
Campers will learn about and engage with the farm in a whole new way. Just some camp activities include participating and/or learning about the compost program, caring for and learning about the animals on the farm (cows, pigs, goats, sheep, alpaca, peacocks, etc.), creating unique nature-themed crafts often sourced from nature itself, planting their own strawberry and herb companion planter, learning about natural pest management and sustainable farming/gardening! During water fun, participants will cool off and use our sprinklers, reusable water balloons, and slip and slide.
Our program is for children aged 5-11 years old and consists of 7 one-week long sessions running from the second week of July to the second last week of August (July 6- August 21, 2026)

My name is Rachel Feddema, and not only am I the director and creator of our farm-based summer camp, but I'm also a registered social worker. With my background in mental health, behavior, and social emotional support, I'm passionate about creating an educational and fun environment for all our campers! The youngest daughter of the Feddema Family, growing up on Round the Bend Farm has given me a deep appreciation of nature, and sustainable farming practises, and I can't wait to share that love and appreciation with each and every one of you. Let's embark on an incredible summer camp journey together! 🌿🌞
Our summer camp is staffed by a dedicated and enthusiastic team, all of whom are over the age of 17. Many of our counsellors are currently pursuing degrees in education, bringing with them a genuine passion for teaching and creating fun, engaging experiences for kids on the farm. Each group of 12 campers is supported by two counsellors, ensuring plenty of personal attention and guidance throughout the day. To prioritize safety, at least one counsellor per group is fully trained in first aid, giving parents peace of mind while their children explore, learn, and play.
