Our threshold for heat is around 30 degrees celcius. When it feels about 30, we will be ensuring activities like animal care and socialization are either done in the morning when it’s coolest or indoors in our classroom. We will spend as much time as we can in the shade and bringing water bottles and hats with us to all activities. We also have very vigilant staff that are knowledgable of heat related illnesses, so we are always on the lookout for any kids in need of heat breaks during heat waves.
